Five weeks into the 2026 NFL season, the Super Bowl LXI betting board has a familiar name back on top: the Los Angeles Rams are the favorites at +650 on DraftKings Sportsbook, per the latest odds reported by FOX Sports on Oct. 12. The New England Patriots and Green Bay Packers are the week's biggest risers, while the Chargers and Eagles have tumbled down the board.
Rams Back on Top After Stunning Eagles Comeback
Los Angeles earned its place atop the oddsboard with a dramatic 24-20 comeback win over Philadelphia in Week 4. Trailing by 10 points with less than eight minutes to play, the Rams scored 14 unanswered points to seal the road victory. Per Next Gen Stats, the Rams' win probability had sunk to just 3.2% before the rally began.
The defense did the heavy lifting: L.A. outgained the Eagles 415-172, converted seven of 16 third-down attempts, and held Philadelphia to 0-for-12 on third down. The win looked nothing like the week before, when Los Angeles blew a 16-0 halftime lead in a 30-26 loss to Denver — a collapse that tied for the third-largest blown lead of Sean McVay's head coaching career. The Rams now await a massive Monday Night Football showdown at SoFi Stadium against the Buffalo Bills (+850).
Patriots and Packers Climb the Board
New England (+2000, up from +2500) shortened its odds after a blowout win over Las Vegas, and quarterback Drake Maye is the engine behind the surge. After managing just one touchdown against seven giveaways in Weeks 1-3, Maye has thrown seven touchdowns — the most in the NFL — with only two giveaways over Weeks 4-5. New England has now beaten the Bills in Buffalo in consecutive seasons, tightening the AFC East race.
Green Bay (+4500, up from +6500) made its move by blowing out Chicago — the Packers' 110th victory over the Bears including playoffs, extending the NFL record for most wins against a single opponent. Green Bay has now won 13 straight season-opening matchups with Chicago and 10 of the last 11 meetings at Lambeau Field. Jordan Love has thrown at least two touchdown passes in all five games this season, the first Packers quarterback to do so since Aaron Rodgers in 2011, while receivers Matthew Golden and Christian Watson each topped 100 receiving yards against the Bears.
Bills Loom, Chargers and Eagles Plummet
Buffalo (+850) sits at 3-1 and could jump straight back to the top of the board with a win over the Rams on Monday night. The San Francisco 49ers (+800), Baltimore Ravens (+800), Kansas City Chiefs (+900), and Seattle Seahawks (+950) round out the leading pack.
The Chargers and Eagles are the board's biggest fallers. The Chargers are 0-5 for the first time since 2017, have lost eight straight games dating back to last season, and watched their odds collapse from +1600 before the season to +20000. Philadelphia's fall has been nearly as steep: after a 2-0 start, the Eagles lost 27-7 to a Case Keenum-led Bears team, blew a 10-point fourth-quarter lead to the Rams, and lost in London to Jacksonville despite leading with under 10 seconds remaining. Their odds have dropped from +1500 to +4000. For longshot hunters, the Jacksonville Jaguars (+1300) and Chicago Bears (+1700) are the best-priced outsiders.
The takeaway: the Rams are back where oddsmakers expected them before the season — Los Angeles opened as the +500 favorite. But with the Bills one win from retaking the top spot, the Patriots surging behind Drake Maye, and the Packers rediscovering historic form, the road to Super Bowl LXI looks wide open after five weeks.
