The Mivi One 5G is the first smartphone from India's well-known audio brand Mivi, and it's a genuine surprise: a ₹12,999 budget 5G phone built around the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chip, a 6,000mAh battery, a 50MP Samsung camera and bloatware-free Android 16. After a decade of earbuds and speakers, Mivi has entered phones with a clean, honest package that goes on sale on Flipkart on October 8, 2026. Here's our full review breakdown.

Design and Display

Mivi's audio heritage shows in the industrial design: a clean 2.5D PMMA rear panel in five colourways — Green, Dark Blue, Blue, Burgundy and Pink — with a distinctive diagonal dual-ring camera island and pill-shaped LED flash. At 9.15mm and 210g it's chunky but manageable for a 6,000mAh phone, and the IP64 rating is rare at this price. It even keeps a 3.5mm headphone jack, a nod to the brand's audio roots.

The 6.75-inch HD+ LCD runs at 90Hz with 2.5D cover glass. It's smooth enough for the segment, but HD+ resolution at this size is visibly soft and the waterdrop notch looks dated next to punch-hole rivals. The 90Hz panel is the one spec where Mivi's hardware shows its budget ceiling.

Performance and Benchmarks

The Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 (4nm) is the star: a genuinely efficient 5G chipset in a price band usually stuck with slower entry-level silicon. Mivi claims an AnTuTu score of around 490,000, and early reviewers have measured even higher — roughly 675,000 in one run — with BGMI/COD playable at 60FPS in testing. Paired with up to 8GB LPDDR4x RAM and UFS 2.2 storage, day-to-day performance is a clear step above the segment's usual MediaTek Helio fare.

Software is the other headline: Pure Android 16 with zero bloatware and no ads, with Mivi promising major OS upgrades through Android 18. In a segment saturated with notification-spam skins, that's a real differentiator.

Camera

The 50MP Samsung ISOCELL main camera with f/1.8 aperture and PDAF is backed by an unspecified auxiliary lens, plus an 8MP front camera. Early reviews call the main camera surprisingly good for the price, with natural colours and decent dynamic range. Don't expect ultrawide or telephoto — there are none — but the primary shooter punches above ₹12,999.

Battery and Charging

The 6,000mAh battery is the endurance story: Mivi claims multi-day use, and the efficient 4nm chip plus HD+ panel should deliver it. The catch is the 18W charging — filling that giant battery takes close to three hours, so you'll want to charge overnight. The charger is included in the box, at least.

Price, Jio Bundle and Availability

Mivi launched the One 5G on September 24, 2026, and it goes on sale on October 8, 2026, exclusively on Flipkart during the Big Billion Days event. Prices start at ₹12,999 (4GB+128GB), with 6GB and 8GB variants at ₹14,999 and ₹16,499; bank offers (Axis, HDFC, ICICI, SBI) knock ₹1,000 off, bringing the base model to an effective ₹11,999.

The secret weapon is the Jio software bundle for active subscribers: 12 months of Canva Pro, an 18-month Google Gemini Pro plan with 5TB of cloud storage, 50GB of Jio AI Cloud storage and a month of Hotstar — perks worth thousands, bundled with a ₹12,999 phone. Add Mivi's 7-day "Replaced, not repaired" promise, 500+ service centres and free pick-up/drop across 19,000+ PIN codes, and the ownership story is strong.

Where to Buy

The Mivi One 5G is a Flipkart-exclusive (part of the Flipkart Unique lineup), with sales starting October 8, 2026:

Verdict

The Mivi One 5G earns our recommendation for budget buyers: the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2, clean Android 16, 6,000mAh battery and the Jio bundle make it one of the most complete phones under ₹15,000, with the only real compromises being the HD+ panel and slow charging. If you want maximum phone for minimum money in the 2026 Big Billion Days sale, this is the one to beat.
